HISTORY OF BROOKSVILLE BAPTIST CHURCH

The Brooksville Baptist Church is located in the town of Brooksville, Mississippi, in the northeastern section of Noxubee County, an area of land once held by Choctaw Indians and deeded to the state by the Indians in the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek in 1830. It is in the heart of the Black Prairie farm belt, often referred to as “the garden spot of the earth”. Among its citizens have been many educated, cultured and prosperous people, many of whom have as young men and women, gone out to cities throughout the United States to take their places as valued and honored citizens. Many have remained at home to take their places in the growth and development of the wonderful little town of Brooksville.........
